October 25, 2004-(Waltham, MA) The Tiffany Club, the oldest and
largest organization
serving the needs of transgendered people in New England will hold its 25th
annual
First Event from January 19 to 23 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Woburn

The event theme, Many Communities One Community is an attempt to be more
inclusive
of all aspects of the Transgender and Transsexual community.
First Event is the second largest transgendered convention held in the United

of
everything", said Joanie Stratton Chairperson of First Event. "We
offer programs of
interest to crossdressers, both male to female and female to male transsexuals
and
people who are friends and family of transgendered people".
The highlight of the 5 day event is the awards banquet on Saturday evening
January
22. The keynote speaker will be Veronica Vera, author of two best selling books
and
the founder of "Miss Vera's Finishing School for Boys Who Want to Be Girls
"in New
York City.
Other social activities during the convention include the First Event Prom
